Iran’s foreign trade reached 157 million tonnes worth $129 billion in the first year of President Masoud Pezeshkian’s government, the head of the Customs Administration said on Tuesday.
Faroud Asgari said non-oil exports accounted for $59 billion, up 14% from the previous year, with a total volume of 118 million tonnes. Imports stood at 39 million tonnes valued at $71 billion, he added.
He noted that foreign transit through Iran amounted to 21 million tonnes during the period, marking a 1.8% increase year-on-year.
