Iran’s aluminum ingot production surpassed 410,000 tons in the first eight months of the current Iranian year, marking a slight 3% increase from the same period last year, according to the state mining development agency IMIDRO.
Four major producers – South Aluminum, IRALCO, Almahdi and Iran Alumina – produced a combined 411,351 tons of ingots from late March to late November, up from 400,425 tons in the same period last year, the agency said in a report on Wednesday.
South Aluminum accounted for 173,108 tons, IRALCO 114,011 tons, Almahdi 103,922 tons and Iran Alumina 20,310 tons.
Iran Alumina also produced 155,410 tons of alumina powder, 257,795 tons of aluminum hydroxide and 665,189 tons of bauxite over the same period, according to IMIDRO.
