Private sector leaders ready to begin post-war reconstruction

Heads of Iranian provincial chambers of commerce have expressed their readiness to help the reconstruction of the country after the end of an ongoing US-Israeli invasion.  

Leaders of the Iranian chambers of commerce met in Iran Chamber of Commerce headquarters in Tehran on Sunday to discuss the country’s economic conditions.   

Speaking during the meeting, Samad Hassanzadeh, the Iran Chamber of Commerce president, said the chamber wrote letters to provincial chambers of commerce on the second day of the war, urging the need for economic operators to continue to produce essential goods and protect the livelihood of the households.

He also said that the chamber offered a package to the government on the second week of the war for the management of war conditions, proposing solutions in different areas including, foreign exchange, financial supply, tax, trade and customs.

The Research Center of Iran Chamber of Commerce has also provided governmental organizations with analytic reports about war consequences on the country’s economy and future.
