Iran’s Economy Minister, Tayebnia, who is in Nairobi of Kenya, addressed the opening of the 14th session of the UNCTAD on Tuesday.

“Iran’s business environment has witnessed a significant growth in the last three years, which is partly due to easier investment conditions, and we follow this trend as part of the strategy for acquiring better status,” said Ali Tayebnia, Iranian Economy Minister, in the opening sitting of the fourteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD 14) which is underway in Kenya’s capital city of Nairobi.

The Iranian minister, who is heading a specialized delegation, said that the goals of the stable development require more cooperation between the countries of the world for the better movement of capital, technology, and added value.

Saying that security and stability of countries are the basic essentials of development of economic cooperation and investment, he described political tensions and insecurity as a deadly poison for stability and economic development.

“The high status of security and political stability in Iran, in the midst of a region tensioned by deep political and security challenges, is the best guarantee for investing in Iran,” Tayebnia contended.

Argenitine foreign minister, Kenya’s economy minister, and Sweden economy minister were the other officials who addressed the opening session of the event.
