Iran-Oman trade up 73% in 10 months

Volume of trade between Iran and Oman in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2021 – January 20, 2022) has grown by 73% in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year compared to last year’s corresponding period, according to the chairman of Iran-Oman Joint Chamber of Commerce.

Volume of trade between Iran and Oman in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2021 – January 20, 2022) has grown by 73% in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year compared to last year’s corresponding period, according to the chairman of Iran-Oman Joint Chamber of Commerce.

Mohsen Zarrabi made the remarks during a meeting to make the necessary coordination for an upcoming visit to Oman by Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin.

Fatemi Amin is scheduled to visit Oman on February 8-10 as part of his regional tour which will first take him to the UAE where he is scheduled to visit EXPO 2020 Dubai

Zarrabi put Iran’s trade with Oman at $1 billion during the 10-month period, noting that the figure is expected to reach $1.2 billion by the yearend.     

He said that the Iranian private sector and the joint chamber have set out a roadmap for exports to Oman which is mainly focused on Oman’s five-year development plan, including startups, nanotechnology and science-based companies.
