Iran’s trade turnover with the US reached $15 million in the first three months of 2022 to register a 54.64% growth compared with the year before.
Latest data released by the US Census Bureau show that Iran exported $4.7 million to the US, registering a 4,600% jump compared with the corresponding period of last year.
This is while imports from the US stood at $10.3 million, up 7.29% YOY.
Bilateral exchanges in March 2022 hit $7.9 million, up 71.74% compared with $4.6 million in March 2021.
Iran’s exports to the US stood at $4.6 million in March, up 100% YOY, while imports totaled $3.3 million, indicating a 28.26% YOY decline.
Iran’s trade with the US stood at $40.6 million in 2021 to register a meager 1% growth compared with the year before. Iran’s exports stood at $1.2 million, indicating a 69.23% year-on-year fall while imports from the US stood at $39.4 million, up 8.54% YOY.
