Iran and the US traded $42.2 million worth of goods in the first nine months of 2022 which was 41 percent more than the corresponding figure for 2021 which was $29.9 million.
According to figures released by the United States Census Bureau, the US exported $31.3 million worth of commodities to Iran during the nine months to September, seven percent more than the related figure for last year.
The value of Iran’s exports to the US increased by 18 folds in the first nine months of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.
The US imported commodities worth $10.9 million from Iran during January-September, while the figure was $600,000 in the same period of time in the past year.
The official statistics indicated that the US imported $5.9 million worth of Iranian goods in September, while the country exported commodities valued at $100,000 to Iran in the said month.
