Iran, Serbia private sectors stress priority of making joint production

Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) and Serbian businesspeople have underlined the necessity of making joint investments and production.

Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) and Serbian businesspeople have underlined the necessity of making joint investments and production.

A trade delegation from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina visited Iran Chamber of Commerce where they met with Niloofar Assadi, the ICCIMA caretaker of international affairs department.

The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation on agriculture, chemicals, and tourism.  

Speaking during the meeting, Sinisa Jasnic, the head of the Serbian delegation voiced his country’s readiness to receive a trade delegation from Iran.

Underlining the possibility of expert cooperation of the two sides on techno-scientific cooperation, he said that Serbia can import fertilizers from Iran and export corn and soy bean to the country in return.

Jasnic said that Serbia can provide farms and Iran provide fertilizers and diesel so as to form a partnership to meet part of Europe’s needs for agricultural products.

He added that exports of animals and Halal meat is another area of cooperation between the two countries.

In the meantime, the caretaker of the international affairs of Iran Chamber of Commerce welcomed the joint investment and production by Iran and Serbia and the distribution of joint production to the regional market.  

Assadi stressed that barter trade through the mechanisms defined by the central banks of the two countries can reduce the effects of sanctions and help further increase bilateral exchanges.

She also welcomed a proposal by the Serbian side for overseas farming cooperation.
