Iran VP highlights role of private sector in agricultural exports to China

Iran’s First Vice-President Mohammad Mokhber has called on the private sector actors of Iran and China to play a more active role in exports of fisheries and agricultural products from Iran to China.

Iran’s First Vice-President Mohammad Mokhber has called on the private sector actors of Iran and China to play a more active role in exports of fisheries and agricultural products from Iran to China.

Mokhber made the remarks addressing a high-level Iran-China Business Forum in Shanghai on Monday.

The business forum was also participated by Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Abbas Aliabadi, Minister of Economy Ehsan Khandouzi and a large number of businesspeople from Iran and China.

The Iranian vice president stressed the need for forming a joint working group for fisheries and agricultural cooperation between Iran and China, noting that the ground is prepared for imports of agricultural and irrigation technologies from China.

Mokhber referred to a historic visit to Beijing by President Ebrahim Raisi in February which he said was a milestone in growing relations between the two countries.

He also underscored Iran’s policy for enhancement of ties with neighboring countries, as well as BRICS and SCO member states.

Mokhber referred to the urgency of creating a green customs line to give a boost to trade ties with China as well as the need for more efforts to expand exports of Halal products.  

In the meantime, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Abbas Aliabadi expressed satisfaction with the level of ties between Iran and China, noting that today the ground is more prepared than ever for further promotion of relations between the two countries.
