The EURASIA EXPO 2023 was inaugurated in the Iranian capital on Monday.
The exhibition will run until December 7 in which major companies from Eurasian member countries have put their products on display in an area of 1,500 square meters.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Abbas Aliabadi said that since the implementation of a preferential trade agreement between Iran and the EAEU member states in 2019, bilateral trade with the bloc has doubled.
He said that signing a free trade agreement (FTA) with the EAEU in the near future will allow Iran’s more access to the 180 million market of this region.
Mohammad Sadeq Ghannadzadeh, the deputy for international businesses of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization, said late in November that an FTA agreement between Iran and the EAEU member states is to be signed in Russia in one or two months.
