As much as $235 million worth of aquatics has been exported from Iran in the eight calendar months to November 22, according to a report by Iran Fisheries Organization.
The report, which was released on Wednesday, said that Iran’s exports of aquatics are up 6% compared to that of last year’s corresponding period when it stood at $221 million.
Iran’s eight-month exports of aquatics also show a 14% increase year-on-year.
Iran also imported some $40 million worth of aquatics in the period under review, the report said.
It added that 70% of Iran’s aquatics exports are bound for four countries, namely Iraq, China, the UAE, and Russia.
