Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Abbas Aliabadi has pledged full support of the government for the private sector.

Aliabadi made the pledge addressing a meeting of the board of representatives of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) on Sunday.

He referred to earlier remarks by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei who had stressed that everything has to be done by the private sector and the government should supervise.

“The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade is by your side,” the minister said, adding that he will assign one of his deputies to arrange regular meetings with the private sector.

Stressing the need to promote the country’s foreign trade, he said that a strategic document is needed for the industry sector.

He underlined the need for making use of the capacities of the private sector, adding that different methods and mechanisms will be examined by the government and private sector in specialized committees of Iran Chamber of Commerce.
