Iran and Turkey have exchanged as much as $930 million worth of goods in January and February, according to a report by the Turkish Statistical Institute.
The report cited by IRNA news agency on Tuesday highlighted that the two-month trade exchanges between the two neighboring countries marked a slight 1% growth compared to $919 million reported in last year’s corresponding period.
Turkey exported some $580 million worth of goods to Iran in the timespan which indicates a 23% increase in comparison to that of January-February, 2023 when the figure stood at $469 million, according to the report.
Iran’s exports to Turkey, however, registered a 22% decline in the two-month period.
Iran has exported some $350 million worth of goods to Turkey in January-February period while the figure stood at $450 million in the same period of last year.
