A senior Iranian official has put the country’s jobless rate in the past annual year to March 19 at 8.1% which he said is the lowest in decades.
Mahmoud Karimi Beiranvand, the deputy Minister of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare on employment and entrepreneurship, announced via social media on Saturday that the net employment created in the country stood at 775,000 last year.
He said that the country’s economic participation hit 41.3% last year up 0.4% from that of the preceding year.
The official noted that Iran has seen a 1.2% fall in the jobless rate of the educated people, and a decline in the unemployment rate of 25 provinces.
