Iran’s exports of petrochemical products have totaled 50.7 million tons worth $19.7 billion in the first nine months of the country’s current calendar year (March 20 – December 20), according to the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Foroud Asgari said that the figures indicate a 32.25% year-on-year increase in terms of weight and a 32% surge in value terms.
He has also put the country’s total non-oil exports at $43.14 billion in the mentioned period.
Earlier in May, Morteza Shahmirzaei, the chief executive of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), said the country’s petrochemical production capacity would top 100 million tons by the end of the calendar year (March 20, 2025).
