Iran’s non-oil trade exceeded $116 billion in the first nine months of the current calendar year (March 20 – December 19, 2024), marking an 11.2% increase from the same period last year, Central Bank Governor Mohammadreza Farzin said.
Speaking at a ceremony on the country’s economic performance, Farzin highlighted that Iran’s economic growth stood at 3.7% during the period. He described this as significant compared to global and regional averages but acknowledged it remains below the government’s 8% target.
“I hope the economic growth rate will further improve in the fourth quarter of the year,” he added.
