Prioritizing private sector can strengthen national economy: Isfahan chamber head

Amir Keshani, the chairman of Isfahan Chamber of Commerce, has urged the necessity of prioritizing the private sector, popularizing the economy, and reducing government intervention, stating that such an approach would strengthen the Iranian national economy.  

Speaking during the chamber’s board of representatives, Keshani referred to the US-Israeli-imposed war on Iran, saying Isfahan Chamber of Commerce has written letters to international organizations such as UNESCO and some Tehran-based foreign embassies about damages sustained by Iranian industries during wartime.

He said that the chamber continues to render services to economic operators despite all the restrictions caused by the war.

Mohammad Jafar Foudeh, the chamber’s vice-chairman, also addressed the board meeting, saying the market is under control and there is no imminent concern about meeting the country’s essential goods.

He however said that possible disruptions in meeting the needed animal feed could affect the meat and dairy markets within the next few months.
