President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) says that the ground is prepared for Iran’s more enhanced investment in Tanzania’s different techno-engineering, agricultural and mining areas.
Iran and African countries traded 2.46 million tons of goods worth $1.23 billion during the 11 months from the beginning of last Iranian year (March 21, 2022-Feb. 19, 2023).
Niloofar Assadi, the caretaker of international affairs of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, said on Saturday that Iran’s private sector is willing to participate in overseas farming in Africa and make joint investments in the continent.
During a visit to Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) by a Senegalese delegation, the two sides stressed that further enhancement of trade relations between the two countries rests upon the removal of banking and transportation obstacles.
Trade between Iran and African countries reached 2.33 million tons worth $1.18 billion in the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022-Jan. 20).
Alireza Yavari, the deputy for international affairs of Iran Chamber of Commerce, said on Tuesday that the lack of strong transportation infrastructure is the main obstacle to promoting relations between Iran and Namibia.

Trade between Iran and African countries reached 2.65 million tons worth $1.41 billion during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Nov. 21).
Trade between Iran and African countries reached 1.89 million tons worth $992.77 million during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Oct. 22).
Transactions between Iran and African countries stood at 1.65 million tons worth $881.16 million during the first six months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Sept. 22), registering a 47.1% year-on-year rise in terms of value, respectively.
