The US has authorized Frances Airbus to sell 106 commercial planes to Iran.
Iran says it expects to receive the first Airbus plane in a major deal that it has signed with the French aviation giant by the end of 2016.
Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development says the representatives of the two companies are making frequent visits to Tehran to put the last touches on the texts of the deals.
An Iranian deputy minister said the country is going to receive nine of the new passenger planes it has purchased from Airbus within the coming months, before the new Iranian year.
Airbus announced Wednesday that the U.S. government has granted it a license to sell the first 17 airplanes involved in a landmark deal with Iran made possible by last years nuclear agreement.
