Iran has exported some $212 million of home appliances during the first nine months of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 21 – Dec 21), according to an official with the country’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO).

Aboutaleb Badri, the director of TPO Bureau for Promotion of Exports of Industrial and Mining Products, made the remarks in a specialized webinar on Business patterns in the home appliance industry.

He said that the figure shows a 4% increase compared to figures from last year’s corresponding period.

Iran exported an annual $308 million of home appliances last year, Badri said, noting that the figure has posted a 4% growth when compared to the preceding year’s exports.

Referring to the potentials of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states, he said that the Iranian producers and exporters of home appliances have to make use of the already signed agreements with the bloc.

Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Mehdi Sadeqi Niyaraki said late on September 2021 that the ban on the imports of home appliances, first implemented around three years ago, has been extended and will remain valid at least until the end of the current Iranian year (March 2022).
