Iran has imported some 14.68 million cellphones worth $3.2 billion in the past calendar year to March 19, according to a recent report by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
The IRICA report said that Iran’s cellphone imports accounted for 4.5% of the country’s total imports in the calendar year.
It added that some 14.22 million cellphones were imported into Iran from the official customs while another 466,274 ones came into the country by passengers.
