Iran has produced more than 635,000 metric tons (mt) of aluminum ingots over the past calendar year to March 19, report suggests.
A Sunday report by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) said that the country’s aluminum mills continued with their production over the past year and posted a slight 1% year-on-year increase although energy restrictions were on the rise.
It said that the country’s aluminum production stood at around 632,000 mt a year earlier.
Iran Alumina Company produced some 222,138 mt of alumina powder, 374,106 mt of alumina hydrate and 598,599 mt of bauxite in the one-year timespan, according to the report.
