Iran’s steel output up 1.6% in 2-month period

The Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) said the steel production volume in the country in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (March to May 2024) registered a 1.6 percent growth compared to the same period last year.

The Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) said the steel production volume in the country in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (March to May 2024) registered a 1.6 percent growth compared to the same period last year.

In this period, iron ore concentrate and pellet accounted for 17.6 percent and 6.8 percent production growth respectively.

According to this report, production of rebar, iron beam and angled iron showed a 1.5 percent growth from March to May 22, 2024.

The association further pointed out that steel production volume showed a 1.6 percent hike in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year compared to last year’s corresponding period, IRNA reported.
