Iran’s customs offices are operating round-the-clock to ensure uninterrupted trade flows despite ongoing attacks on the country by the US and Israel, a senior business leader said on Sunday, emphasizing that exports and imports remain unaffected.

Mohammad Lahouti, head of the Non-Oil Exports Commission at Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, told the chamber’s newsroom that all customs facilities are now fully active to support traders.

“The best policy under current conditions is to keep customs open 24 hours,” Lahouti said. “This has prevented any disruption to import and export processes.”

He added that authorities had reported no issues at border crossings or customs checkpoints, with trade continuing “normally”.
