Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture announced a significant increase in crop yields from dryland farming, reaching 8 million metric tons (mt) this year.
A report by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said the country’s pistachios exports in the five calendar months to late August registered a major growth compared to the same period last year.

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has forecasted a further increase in Iran’s grain output this year amid efforts by the government in the country to rely more on domestic farming rather than imports for basic needs of the country.
